Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My factory remote start stopped working on my 2010
Ford F-150.  When I hit the lock button followed by the
remote start button twice the truck lights and things come
on but it doesn’t start and the horn chirps one time. I
replaced the batteries in the remote fob and that didn’t
help.

This worked for me:It is a 30 second fix. Turn key to ON position. Depress and hole brake. There is a button under the dash by the pedals, you have to push in and hold the button while depressing the brake. It will beep 3 times and it should be reset, start the car and then turn it off and you are ready to go after that.

I did Tomoftn and it did chirp 3 times. Now my fobs do not work so I have no way to tell you if the auto start works or not. I tried the ignition turn on 8 times and the locks did sound...but when I pressed button on fob the locks did not sound. So now I have a fob that does not work and not sure if my auto start works or not. My hole just got deeper.

Ugh. Sorry. All I can think to try is disco the battery and let it ALL reboot. Big PITA. Good luck. PLEASE tell us how you resolved it. It’s possible (likely) Ford sourced these add-on remote starts from multiple vendors so different reboot procedures are possible.
