I reviewed a dealer - negatively and responded I was a fake review

Asked by GuruZFX1R Nov 30, 2017 at 10:23 AM

Question type: General

I drove 2 hours to look at a car and it basically
ended up being a complete waste of time. The car
had scratches, dents, punt chips and even
noticeable bonds on the hood, stains on the seats
and the batch hatch wouldn’t even open. I reviewed
the dealer as a negative. The dealer responded to
cargurus that they never dealt with me and that I
was a fake review. Obviously they don’t want a
negative review but how can I get cargurus to view
my texts and calls etc to prove they dealt with me
and truly deserve the negative?

Honestly this is not worth your time and CarGurus is most likely not going to get involved. Most shady dealers will post something along the lines of " We have never worked with this person, etc. etc. deny deny deny". Savvy shoppers will see the dealer's response and know immediately that they are trying to get one over on customers. Your review still helps others, maybe even more so. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. It happens, but hopefully you will find the car you are looking for. Thanks for giving an honest review of the dealer so that others will know what you went through.

Cargurus is totally unreliable w dealer ratingd as the site gives the dealer the ability to restrict a client they screwed over from leaving a review. id stringly suggest using one of the many alternative sites in the future.

I keep getting a negative--and fair-- review kicked back. I do not need the dealer to censor this kind of thing.
