Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Im about to buy a wiring harness. Mine is an 01 gt
5 speed.  The harness i have lined up is for an 01
gt auto. Will there been any problems with the
tranny plug since its an auto. Or can i just plug my
transplug where the auto is plugged in at

can't see it being a problem, probably get both harnesses and compare them on the deck and check for differences. on a stick shift tranny the only wires you should have are to the reverse light switch where as an auto will have the wires which control the gear selection system. take your automobile to your local shop and get a qualified technician to look at your wiring harness

It is possible that the auto harness might not have the manual transmission speed sensor connection or the clutch interlock.
