I would put the new ones on the front if the alignment is okay. Certainly have them balance before installation. If it is a 4x4 then you need 4 tires of the same size and tread depth.

people that sell tires will say on the back , the internet mostly says the back ,, I think they should go on the front , if you wipe out in a corner you can slide head on or have the rear slide out , probably just slow down is best
