Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1996 chevy 2500, no fire,, I've
replaced crank sensor and ignition
module and coil, checked
fuses,Truck was running fine
when the starter went out my
brother replaced it and i don't
know if he disconnected the
battery before he took off the
starter, I've checked starter wires
and ground strap, what could have
been shorted out , any answers?
