1985 Ford F-150 not starting if the temperature is under 80

Asked by Rowdy52 Sep 28, 2017 at 08:47 PM

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My truck won't start at all in the morning
when the temperature is lower (like 75-80).
It will just crank and crank.  But in the
evening when it warms up and it's been
sitting in the sun it'll fire right up as soon as
I turn the key.  I'm getting fuel no problem
just no spark.    I've replaced the coil,
ignition module, cap and rotor, voltage
regulator.

I don't know if has an ignition relay and if the starter relay was bad the engine wouldn't crank
