i found a car. how do i get you to stop sending me alerts? nothing seems to work

I click on delete for searches & noting happens. I don't see a link to stop notifications

Click on your "Name" at the top left of the page, then click on "My Account", then click on "Settings" un-check all the e-mail notification boxes and that should stop it.
