Question type: Maintenance & Repair

How can I tell if its the motor is locked up
or if it's the starter? Im hoping for it to be
the starter instead of spending the money
for a new motor and the starter was the
only thing wrong. Please I need help!

Try doing a voltage drop test to the starter and make sure it's getting proper voltage. You can then proceed to a bench test of the starter to determine if it's good or not. There are a lot of things you would want to check before writing off a motor.
