How can I turn the airbags off on the passenger seat so I can remove that seat?

I would like to remove the passenger seat so t have more carrying room. I
have a 2916 Smart car model Passion.

A lot of cars turn off the RH bags when no one is sitting in the passenger seat.

You can remove the seat and the side airbag comes out with it. This will cause the airbag light on the dash to come on. A qualified mechanic can make and install a resistor to simulate the airbag and the light will go off.
