I had a potential buyer contact me and lied, trying to get the car without paying full price

Asked by Mar 31, 2017 at 09:33 PM

Question type: General

and lied, saying she had set up a "payment" plan with my husband.  She
wanted to know where the car was.  I knew she had not spoken to my
husband, so asked her when and how.  She said she called him on my cell
phone number (the number I gave her to call me).  Anyway, bottom line,
she lied and was clearly trying to get the car without paying the full price.
How do I report her?

Definitely, as F O R said, report it to the police. If she calls back tell her "great, I'll need to see a copy of the written agreement you made with my Husband and copies of the receipts for your down payment as well as the receipts for the payments you've made thus far!" That should scare her off. It will also show her that you're not playing and not a dummy either!! Don't you just "love" dealing with the public?! HTH. -Jim
