Citroen ds3 engine fault

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi I have a 63 plate Citroen ds3, about 3 weeks ago my
car ran out of fuel due to taking a wrong turn on a
motorway, it was filled up and I drove home no problems.
Since then on 3 occasions "engine fault repair needed"
has come up on my dash alongside a "yellow tap" it
judders, struggles to pick up speed and when the engine
is switched off the fan loudly continues to run. I've had a
diagnostics (also in the garage today) and they have said
it could be the fuel sender telling my car it has no fuel and
that is why it is juddering. How much will this cost to fix
and is there anything I can do?

since there are no Citroens in the U.S. except the old ones- I can only say "idk" but I can give you good advice- find a good Citroen mechanic- you will have to anyway-
