Please name this part

Question type: General

91 ford ranger 3.0... Was pulling a car with
a tow bar hit soft sand the car pulled hard
to the right and my ranger hopped to the
right and the shut off and won't start.. Have
pictures of part if I can figure out how to
load them.. The part is out of the distributor
and a little magnet was laying at the
bottom as well

You probably slipped a gear when you hopped. You'll have to rebuild or get a new distributer. You probably lost or sheered a gear on the bottom of it. Then you can start hoping you didn't jump time.
