2009 dodge journey

I have a 2009 doge journey and since it has gotten
cold when i start it up it makes a whinning
screeching sound, it sounds like a belt then it stops
after it warms up

Could be the belt itself, but I would suspect an idler pulley or one of the other pulleys. the bearings go bad. pull the belt and check them all.

Or maybe the cam chain is stretched out from wear and tear and its hitting the timing cover
