I have a 1990 Toyota P/U V6 W/ 280k mi. @ any given time it will not start.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Have 90 Toyota P/U V6 280k mi. Starts most of time-runs smooth. Intrermittenly will not
start. When it does start, starts on first turnover of motor. When not starting, motor will
spin fast , will not start. Have replaced dist. dist. Cap & rotor, tuned up last summer
&replaced coil. When I take it to mechanic as long as 12 days @a time) starts every day.
Please help.....   Jim

that is an oldie, but a goodie- with that much use, many things will need maintenance, and replacing- have you thought about the fuel system? the fuel filter? the fuel pump?
