Did 1992 Volkswagon's have driver and passenger airbags?

No. Golf had them beginning in 1995. Before that, no. Can find no information on Scirocco aka Corrado

Pretty sure that a 1992 VW Scirocco didn't have driver or passenger airbags...Corrado was actually more upscale and designed to be a sportscar, so it MAY have a driver airbag in the '92 model, but possibly not till the '93 model year. It seems that 1994 or 1995 was the turning point in terms of airbags being required for driver & passenger. Both of these cars were really nice....LOVED the Corrado, but was waaay too expensive. VW needs to bring it back...their current lineup lacks a REAL sportscar or sportscoupe ::::YAWN::: b-o-r-i-n-g. Sorry, the GTI doesn't quite cut it...

So did the corrado have passenger airbags in the mid 90's and if not are there any similar cars to the corrado that do?
