You usally have 2 to 3 galons left but it is not good to drive it to far like that you can burn out the fuel pump. witch is expensive to replace
Usually there's a gallon or two left in the tank. You either have a 29 or 38 gallon fuel tank. Next time the warning light comes on, take out a loan and fill it up. See how many gallons it take and subtract it from the capacity.
