HOw do I know if it is a plug in hybrid or not?

A hybrid-electric vehicle (HEV) is a standard mix of gasoline engine and electric motor and most often has no external plug-in port, but now there are some HEVs that also have plugs for recharging. A plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV) is one with an outside plug that can be charged exactly the way an all electric vehicle is done. Visually, the difference is generally the presence of an external port for plug-in charging.

OK... NO POSTING AGAIN... I get the message, Don't answer questions on weekends... THANKS.
Maybe you should be asking yourself why you want one. Then if you still do then research the makes you think your interested in. Right now Honda and Toyota seem to be heading in the right direction for hybrid vehicles with Mazda coming in strong. But be aware that repair costs are very high on this type of vehicle on matter what makes it is.
