For a grand? Nothing but parts. For any sort of reliability, start at $5,000: no lower.

I can't imagine any car selling for $1,000. Search craigslist for fixers starting around $2,500

You not going to find anything lie that right now, prices have gotten crazy, if it runs they are getting around 2 grand and the resat of the car is shot. Save you money for a while and see if you can get something better later on. Unless your looking at a basket case then watch craigslist, I found one yesterday for 500 that was in good shape but needed engine work, I got it cause the engine was already pulled making it easier for me to fix and when done resell unless I decide to keep it.

Let's see, GA: which is it? "You not going to find anything lie that right now." Or is it, "I found one yesterday for 500 that was in good shape but needed engine work." I'm kinda confused, but at least this is entertaining.

The only ones your going to find need work, usually something wrong with the engine or transmission. I got lucky and bought the one i found and I am currently working on it. Ordered the parts I need before they are no longer available due to supply problems. Hope that clears up any confusion.

Ask around, maybe a family member or a family friend might have a vehicle they'll sell you for that price to get you on the road. Otherwise there's nothing out there for a thousand dollars that's worth having. Keep saving money for an older model Toyota, or Ford. Stay away from GM and Chrysler Products!! Good luck to you!! Jim
