I have a trade in vehicle, but no title.

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

I have a car to trade in...I was in the process of registrating
it but the person that sold it to me lost the title....I have the
duplicate title form signed by the owner....will I be able to
trade it in with that

Ask the dealer but I suspect you will have to wait for the title.

No, you need the actual duplicate title. Not the duplicate title application form. The seller needs to get the duplicate title and THEY need to pay for it because of their negligence! Even with a duplicate title you can't do anything with the vehicle until that title is transferred to your name! I hope you haven't paid for the vehicle yet!! Hope that helps! Jim
