2005 chevy tahoe tail light

i have a 2005 tahoe. i cant get driver side taillight to work i changed bulb, new wire harness, the brake light works as it is the same bulb but no tail light

did you check the fuse? Looking at your diagram for rear park lamps, rr and lr fuses. Not only check the fuse, check fuse for voltage, brakes applied. Use a test light.

I CHECK ALL FUSES, IN DASH AND UNDER HOOD. TEST LIGHT SHOWS POWER TO WIRE HARNESS AT ALL TIMES.. EVEN WITH LIGHTS OFF THERE IS POWER TO THE HARNES.. BRAKE LIGHTS UP BUT THE TAILLIGHT WILL NOT..

brown wire at the rear on one side. brown wire with white tracer on the other side, both wires voltage for tail lamps. both those wires are hot all the time? that's not right.
