Do you think I should get my car for a check?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I drove a little faster than I needed on a turn.
The street was completely empty. But nearing
the end of the curve I heard a very weird noise
and my wheel had gone way out of control. I
get it back again, but I noticed my RPM was
way too high and I found out it had gone in
manual mode somehow. After switching,
everything was smooth but RPM was a bit
high still, but not too much. I drive a Smart
Fortwo 3. Do you think I did damage?

Probably no damage. Did you turn it off the vehicle at some point and start it up again? How does it drive this time? If you think it isn't normal, have it checked out, maybe the transaxle might need attention.
