Heater quit

08 Toyota Yaris and last night coming
home my heater quit. There was a
noise when it stopped. The engine
light came on allong with the battery
light and temperature light.
Thermostat ?

Is the serpentine belt still there? The noise you could have heard is the belt breaking or falling off. The belt runs your water pump and your alternator. If it breaks the heat wont work, battery wont charge and the engine will begin to overheat.
