plug change problem

Changed plugs in a 04 santa fe 3.5 engine and it now has no power and engine chatters or maybe sounds like a vokks diesel..I did install a cheaper ngk plug which was the proper number for the vehicle...It had iridium plugs in it so could tht do it..Pit new intake gaskets on It Only thing mechanic sees wrong is voltage a bit to high at the mas sensor but???I feel like taking it apart and relace with the old plugs but would that help??Someone please give me some info on this subject...
