2003 Ford explorer is stuck in park what could it be ?

Sorry, my lengthy answer earlier didn’t post. I’ll try again: I have a 2001 F150 SuperCrew, had same problem:: Remove and replace Interior Lighting fuse in Fuse Block below steering wheel under dash. I looked at mine twice and it looked good/OK both times. But after no solution replaced it anyway: Problem Solved!! problem solved.
