I'm thinking it would be nearly impossible to drive without power steering. Also, the location the PS pump is engineered to apply proper tension on the belt to make the other accessories work, but only in conjunction with the PS pump. The best remedy that will work, is to get a used pump at a salvage yard and reinstall the original belt. Substituting another belt will cost $25 and that would be hard to find one that might work.
