Kia in the mountains

2017 Kia Sedona we'll be driving from Iowa to
California, we will be going through mountains and
I'd like to know if the car will do good. The car we
used last year got a broken transmission because
we drove in the mountains on eco boost is there a
preferred way gear we should use

Ecoboost is Ford's turbocharged engines. Run it in sport/power mode if you have it but you might want to change all the fluids (trans, engine oil etc) before the trip.

Eco boost from wat I read on kia's lessens rpm's to make u drive slower and with less power. U probably dont wanna b using Eco boost in mountains where u need power for up hills. Also u probably have CVT transmission, not the best wen comes to power and torque (or reliability). If u have CVT they really dont have gears like conventioal transmissions. The best thing is to read ur manuel and follow their recommendations...don't guess!

Eco is probably economy, not ecoboost. Not what to use in the mountains.

Ur right its called that, eco mode, but still operates like mentioned above
