Putting a DOHC in place of a SOHC in Subaru Outback

I have been given a working 99 motor and
transmission for a Subaru Outback. My
brother can do the work for cheap. Knowing I
have no money invested, is it possible to
replace a 2.5L H4 SOHC 16v with a 99 2.5L
H4 DOHC 16v?
