worse thing it could be is the head gasket has gone and the water has mixed with oil and done some damage to the head and or block. First thing to do is find out if the fan kicks in when the temp is around 90 if not then its a sensor or the fan its self. Check the water is flowing by running the car and checking if there is water in the rubber hoses coming out of the radiator by squeezing them if no water is there then its most likely your thermostat which is a very cheap item to replace is not opening to allow the water into the radiator. Check the underside of your oil cap, if its got oil on it thats gone a milk colour then its the water mixing with the oil due to the head gasket leaking which can crack the head and corrode the surface of the head and block. If that is the case a garage will have to take the head off get it skimmed and replace the gasket put it together again and flush the engine and replace the coolent and oil which it a very timely and costly job, but thats the worse case.

Also when the thermostat doesnt open you normally find that when the heater is on in the car you will not get hot air comming in
