what does it mean? "Passenger Airbag Off" ????? this stays lit up!  a sensor?  or is it disconnected???

If there is nobody sitting in the passenger seat, or a package less than roughly 15 lbs, there is a sensor in the seat that turns off the airbag so that it does not deploy in case of an accident. If someone is sitting in the passenger seat and the light is on you need to get that fixed.
