No oil filter in canister

Asked by DaveL Oct 06, 2008 at 09:55 AM about the Volkswagen Eos

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had my Eos serviced after 16000 km at a VW Dealer in Charlottetown and they advised that no oil filter had been put in the car at the VW dealership in Calgary.

No oil light came on to warn of this.

Is this possible?

Yes, oil still flowed, contaminants were just not being filtered due to the lack of a filter. That is funny though.
