Can the odometer/speedometer be easily disconnected

My first car was a 1969 Dodge Dart 225 slat 6, if I wanted to go somewhere
and not have my parents know I would simply reach behind the instrument
cluster and disconnect the speedometer cable from the back of the instrument
cluster. I told you that so that I could ask you this, can this sort of thing be
done easily to a (2010 Dodge Ram Pickup 1500 regular cab)?

If it is your kid you are worried about, easiest these days it to start writing your mileage down, or mark a tire. 2010 Dodge I would think is electronic, my 95 Chevy is.
