Question type: General

I currently drive a Volvo V50 T-5 AWD.  It is my all purpose vehicle for commuting and
carrying a variety of things.  Though it is a bit small-ish on the inside, it offers nice
acceleration and handling, as well as decent fuel efficiency.

I live in CO and am considering a change to a first generation Audi Allroad.  Given all that
has been written about the 2001-2005 Audi Allroad, particularly the problems with the air
suspension (and other costly repairs) and poor fuel efficiency, would your recommend
against looking for a used model in good condition with low mileage?

I would recommend against it, for the reasons you already mentioned. Audi's can quickly turn into moneypits when there's a problem with them, the allroads in particular are known for their costly repairs.

I have had 3 Audi's and now have a Q5 (2009, Original owner) and have had no problems with it/them at all. Yea of course if something goes wrong and you have to pay for repairs it gets costly, but what car repair doesn't?
