2015 2500 won't start

Asked by Jun 04, 2017 at 09:02 AM about the Dodge Ram 2500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My family owns a tire shop and we do oil changes,
front end work etc. Wednesday one of our workers
changed the oil on a 2015 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel
2wd. Unfortunately he only hand tightened the oil
plug (from what we can gather). Friday the
customer called and said he had oil everywhere on
the ground and from the front of his truck to the
back bumper underneath his truck and the oil plug
is missing. We replaced the filter, added oil and put
a new oil plug, had it towed in. All lights come on
but it will not turn over. PLEASE HELP and any
suggestions are greatly appreciated

If the engine won't turn then most likely it is seized due to loss of oil pressure.

Check the asd relay. See if you can communicate with obdii. I would swap a good relay over and see if the truck will start.

ill try that thanks!

Usually it's cheaper to replace it than too rebuild it, check with your insurer and see what they will authorize some will only go for used engines.
