hi is it a 3.6 engine?.... the oil temp sensor has been giving issues as of late on the 3.6....it tells the PCM (power control Module) if the engine oil over heats and if it does actually shuts power down or reduces power produced that the engine can make this is a safe mode...what we have seen is the engine is not over heating but the sensor stops reading after a certain temp and confuses the PCM causing the reduced power...you should be able to monitor the engine temp sensor on your dash while you drive to see if you will catch it ...also this condition will not turn on the MIL Light or leave a code...there are also a number of PCM updates for your vehicle that you may want to have the dealer check to see if they were done Good luck

You can take it to auto zone and they will pull the code for free and this why you have some kind of idea what your dealing with. Buy if your feeling unsafe then bring it in Monday and see if they can get you in or even provide a loaner if you just bought the car and its brand new or used under 30 days I would go see the manager sales and service
