grease where is it coming from

I just replaced left front wheel bearing drove the truck 30 mil and noticed grease all over the wheel well. I dont suspect the new bearing and not sre if that cvu shaft has grease in it if so how is it leaking it want before I did the project.If anyone can help or have some good advice I would apperciate it.

check your ball joints you could have ruined them installing the new bearings, also your CV boot could have a small unnoticable rip in it which could throw grease into the wheel

It could be a glob of extra grease from the install. But It could be also a tore boot from a front shaft, if its 4 wheel drive. But still could be just extra glob of grease that caught the shaft and whipped all around. Possibilities but you should have it checked.

more than likely if it is 4WD, there is a pinhole in the cv boot.
