Check Engine light P219B code

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2016 Ram 1500 5.7, check engine light comes on and gives a
P219B error code for air/fuel imbalance. I've had this truck to 3 different
dealerships and replaced the downstream oxygen sensor and the intake. Did
not fix it. Dealership is wanting to pull the camshaft. This started in August of
2019. After they checked the code the CEL will go out until I drive the truck
and let it get fully warm, shut it off and let it cool down then drive it again and
let the engine warm back up it will come on again, After 4 or 5 starts it will go
out.

You may have an exhaust manifold leak, a vacuum leak, a MAF or MAP sensor problem, a failing fuel pump, a clogged fuel filter, a problem with the wiring going to the oxygen sensor, or they're replacing the wrong oxygen sensor. The oxygen sensor throwing the code is the upstream oxygen sensor on bank two of the engine. This is the side of the engine where the number two cylinder is. Hope that helps! Jim

Thank you. They supposedly checked for EVAP system leaks and didn't find anything. They insist they need to pull the camshaft out but I'm reluctant to let them. I'm thinking it's some cheap sensor problem like the fill position sensor or purge solenoid valve.

YOU NEED TO ADDRESS OTHER CODES FIRST... P219B IS NORMALY NEVER BY ITS SELF, I WOULD MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO MISFIRES, EVEN A VERY LIGHT ONE WILL SET THIS CODE...

I have the same code 9219A( only code) this is on a 2022 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi. we have had injectors replaced, plugs, o2 sensors, mass air flow sensor, throttle body, and the control module. injector 7 is reading way off scale. Been in the shop several times and only has 30k on it. the dealers have drove it more than us.
