auto trans bump shifting down

Asked by dlritch Nov 05, 2011 at 08:57 AM about the Dodge Neon

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

recently my radiator and trans cooler failed and filled my trans with antifreeze. The trans has been flushed and the filter replaced. Back on the road---it shifts very smooth all the way into 4th gear. On the way back down at precisely 25mph there is a hard downshift. Could it be the solenoid pack or speed sensors or possibly something else? Any help would be appreciated.

The science on the front of the transmission not the one behind the dipstick has 3 wires that can loose the cot on the wires a short out the signal i put tape on all naked wires and that fix the problem hope it works for you in fact i know it will
