My 2001 prizm tail lights wont turn off

Can't turn tailights off, what could be some of problems. Checked fuse's they
are good. If I removed battery cable then they goes out.

Investigate where the voltage is coming from. You may have a pinched wire or some other anomaly in the wiring between the light and the light switch causing the car to get voltage form another contact point.
