I have a 1984 Chev van and I want to replace the v8 350 with a v6.  Does it fit?

As tennisshoes said above. Just ensure your swapping a carb motor with a 4.3 carbed motor. The TBI motor will also bolt up but you will need to install all of the electronics to your van or swap intakes and distributor to make it carbureted.

Did you blow your 350 and looking for a cheaper alternative or looking for more economy. If you haul any weight the 4.3 likes it's fuel. Some simple mod's can help the 350 quite abit. Also gearing helps, My 1981 350 K1500 Blazer did 24 - 28 mpg with 2.73 on 31's but had no bottom end power.

Nope, the ol' girl is getting old and I have been investigating a change or a rebuild. Looking more like a rebuild after investigating other options. The engine sits in a Get Away conversion 1984 van that is near perfect condition, but expensive to run.
