jolting on acceleration and stopping

my passport is doing a jolting type of motion when i accelerate and when i stop, what could this be caused from?

Our work car does that a lot too. People have suggested that a tune-up is needed, but not just the basic one. it could be (from what i've heard) fuel filter, air intake, oils from diffs, transmission and engine, spark plugs, thorough scans and a few others.
