Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Alleged overheating problem, or electrical fault in a 2.2 lt automatic Daewoo Leganza.
Coolant & Radiator seem okay, but temperature gauge rises up to 3/4 then falls to just below regular(Default) half point, mainly at night. Radiator did have a leak but now has a 'leak' treatment in it. Cooling system runs on coolant, and levels are checked frequently.

i have a daewoo espero: solved it like this, acroos the two wires leading from the engine temperature switch ,connect a 450 0hm resistor. Temperature will stabilise at half the temperature gauge all the time. Reason: the temperature switch is a variable resistir that changes value as the engine temperature changes. The fan is a 2 speed fan which changes speed ( hence the rate of cooling)
