how do i get my check engine light off. i was really low on gas and just put some in then the light came on.

You may not have tightened the gas cap enough, which would cause it to come on. Turn it until it clicks. After a few days (100-150 miles of driving) it should go out if the gas cap was the issue.

cleared check engine light with scanner now when i take scanner off i have no lights and car wont start when i put scanner back on it clears codes and starts and drives
