I have a 2000 Mitsubishi lancer 1.5L. The instruments (speedo tacko temp gauge & fuel gauge) work sometimes & other times it won't? There is power going to the dash as it lights up when headlights on?

your gauges shud change color( slow flashes) if theres no power comin to it,If none seem b working its wiring fault or have a look at your battery either ways

the light bulbs don't have anything to do with the gauges functioning, its separate from that

There are two connectors on the fuse panel in the cabin (near the accelerator pedal) which feed your instruments and you may have a loose connection or a connector which has been displaced in the plug/socket. The following PDF document will help you 91589961-2001-Mitsubishi- Lancer-Evo-IX (and go to page 54A-48). It will give you general information which should guide you. Mine had corrosion from the AC condensation.
