2001 Mercury Grand Marquis climbing to overheat

My car overheats ( goes to a high norm ) when I run
the a/c. Recently, got the fan replaced , got it
flushed and changed the thermostat. Still doing the
same thing .. what could it be? This just started
happening .

Can you check the flow rate through the radiator? Radiator may be obstructed, or water pump may be worn and not pushing enough coolant. Make sure cooling fans are coming on. The fans operation is governed by a cooling fan module.
Make sure the cooling system was refilled correctly. On these vehicles the cooling system is refilled by removing the upper radiator hose, thermostat housing, and thermostat. Remove the cap from the plastic coolant recovery tank. Pour the coolant directly into the hole in the engine where the thermostat goes. When the engine is full, replace the thermostat, thermostat housing, and upper radiator hose. Start the engine and top off the plastic coolant recovery tank. Let the engine fully warm up and top off the coolant recovery tank as needed. Once the recovery tank is full and stays full put the cap back on and you'll be all set. Hope that helps! Jim
