f250 back drivbers side seal problem?

my1987  f250 lariat just got new tires, and while being changed, we were made aware of a grease or gear oil like substance oozing out the axle from behind the brake. is that a seal that is blown? what is it called? I need this info to get the right part to fix it. thank you.

Could be a bad axel bearing , or scored or worn axel , which ruins the axel seal Not a full floating axel from the school Manufactures just want to make new vehicles as cheap as possible the newer the cheaper made
