Ok me again. And im not
trying to sound blonde or
stupid. I just dont k ow.i.
check on you tube about.
Doing a. Diagnostic on a
older car. It said to. Get a
wire and put the ends in
certain slots and i get that
but the wire what kind is
the best to use aka
speaker wire or maybe
higher gage wire like. In
houses. The video didnt
say & my luck i would use
the wrong  kind and get
shocked

Gauge or thickness of the wire in not that important here, holding the connection between the contacts are. So whatever have have handy. Speaker wire is fine if you twist the ends really tight. House wiring, like 12 gauge might be overkill, but like I said, if you can fit it into slot to maintain a connection it's all the same.

Absolutely, I've been using paper clips for this for years. Works great, no shock risk. Insert the paper clip with the ignition off. Then turn the ignition key to the run position and you'll be fine. Hope that helps! Jim
