my 1998 jaguar xj8 will not start its turning over great took out spark plugs they were wet with gas and a little oil any suggestions

there is an electro-magnetic pick up on the fly wheel telling the ecu when to fire with jags this is a common fault as they have a tendency to fail which knocks out the sensor compleatly so you can turn over the car and it wont spark at the plugs correctly
