where is the evap canister located

Should be located at left firewall,under hood,right in front of passenger.
On my 2002 Lesabre with a 3800 - V6 engine, the vent valve and canister it is located inside the rear wheel well, passenger side. There is a plastic vacuum tee that comes from the gas tank tat has the vacuum lines. The rubber vacuum lines are bought as 7/32 size in an auto parts store. Purchase four feet of this hose.Then one line goes to the vent valve. The other line goes to the vapor/charcoal canister. Those vacuum lines on my Lesabre were dry rotted and had fallen off. They literally turned to dust as I looked at them. Fairly easy to remove the plastic wheel well cover and replace the vacuum lines. This solved my P0446 – Evaporative Emission Control System Vent Control Circuit Malfunction code.
P.S. (This IS NOT the Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid Valve 2000-2005 Buick LeSabre which is located under the hood at the front of the engine.)
