Would you recommend putting in a KA24DET rather than a SR20DET?

I would say KA24DET. There are tons of these motors around now b/c everyone and their mother swapped to a SR. So you could build one up real easy. Plus, turbo'ing the KA is super easy nowadays and there are websites dedicated to it. Just search on KA-T.org or Freshalloy.com Either of those sites can help. The USDM parts are cheaper than JDM parts and easier to find. You could probably even find a KA-T motor ready.

do the sr20det, it has stouter parts than the american crap. and u cant get a ka24det u have to put the turbo on yourself the only benefit to the KA is bigger displacement and maintenance and parts availability. Run the sr20 if you got the cash
