i hear a screeching sound when i step too hard on brake on 2007 Ram 1500.

You have worn brake shoes/pads. It's probably the wear indicators on the front pads. The brake pads on the front have a little metal spring that rubs against the brake rotor when the brake pads are getting worn down. Not a big emergency but need to be replaced soon.
